ARTIFACT: This is a scarce World War I agent lapel pin in sterling silver for the United States Food Administration. The Food Administration was established in 1917 for the regulation of reserve food supplies, especially wheat, for the Allied nations. The pin shows a brightly enameled starred and striped crest at its center encircled by a border of wheat.

VINTAGE: Circa World War I.

SIZE: Approximately 11/16" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated sterling silver with enameled areas.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS: STERLING.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWI homefront collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VEL95 LFEX11/13

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The pin has only some very light wear and tarnish mostly to the reverse.
