ARTIFACT: This is a scarce US-made World War II Desert Air Force (DAF) USAAF & RAF Combined Operation Shoulder Patch. The patch depicts a white and yellow shield with yellow wings, surrounding the Letters "DAF" On the top part of the patch is a target and a star with a red circle in the middle.

VINTAGE: Ca. WWII

SIZE: Approximately 3-3/4" x 2-9/16"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidered and woven silk on wool mesh

ATTACHMENT: None

MARKINGS: Obverse: "D.A.F."

ITEM NOTES: This is from a USAAF collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEX16 LHEX02/17 SHEX02/22/18

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): Slight fraying and the colored thread remains vibrant
