Description
This is a scarce, mint sleeve shield in its original wrapper for the Italian Fascist Youth of La Spezia. The GIL began in 1926 as the ONB (Opera Nazionale Balilla) and was renamed GIL (Giuventu Italiana del Littorio) in 193The sleeve shield would have been worn as a shoulder patch. It reads GIOVANI FASCISTI GIL LA SPEZIA.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s-World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-13/16" in height and 2-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Painted brass, wax paper.
ATTACHMENT:Small holes.
MARKINGS:None.
