Description
ARTIFACT:
This is a Mexican Border War Service Medal for Nebraskan National Guard. The medal pinback reads: "FROM THE STATE OF NEBRASKA" and the center of the suspended planchet shows an eagle, wings spread clutching a shield that reads: "MEXICAN BORDER SERVICE" with a garland of oak leaves beneath. The outer edge of the medal reads: "NEBRASKA NATIONAL GUARD" in embossed lettering with a small raised five-point star at the bottom center.

CONDITION:
8 (Excellent-): The medal shows minor to moderate wear, and oxidation on front, overall handsome patina, and it is in excellent condition.
