ARTIFACT:

This is a Scarce Korean War era United State Air Force Type L - 1 Survival Wrist Compass.

VINTAGE:

Circa Korean War - mid 50s.

SIZE:

Approximately Belt: 8-7/8" in length x 1/2" in width. Compass: 1-3/4" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nylon, cotton/Polyester thread celluloid, metal, magnet.

ATTACHMENT:

Belt clip.

MARKINGS:

"COMPASS. WRIST NON LIQUID TYPE L-1 SPEC. NO 21051-A US. GAUGE DIV. AM&M"

CONDITION:

7+(Very Fine+ ): The compass shows minor to moderate and has light abrasion on the celluloid case, overall very fine condition.
