Scarce Early Vietnam War US Army 81st Transportation Co. Pocket Patch

This is a circa early Vietnam War pocket patch for the United States Army 81st Transportation Company. Serving in Vietnam beginning in September 1962, the 81st became the 119th Aviation Company in June of the following year. The patch is US-made and shows a great helicopter with a grasshopper shape. A name, presumably the original owner's, is written upon reverse.

Approximately 2-3/4" in height and 5" in width.

Fully embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester thread.

To be sewn on.
