This is a scarce 1944-dated Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) pilot wing. The wing is in white metal and has a backing plate. It has an M&K maker mark and "44" on the reverse on the wing. The detailing on the wing is intricate and handsome.
VINTAGE:Circa 1944 (late World War II).
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/16" in height and 2-15/16" in width (without backing plate).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:White metal.
ATTACHMENT:Loops with cotter pin, backing plate.
MARKINGS:44 M&K.
