Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a scarce circa 1920s or 1930s hat badge for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). The badge is in excellent condition, and has a three-dimensional bison head at its center framed by festoons of maple leaves. The badge reads MAINTIENS LE DROIT (Support the right).

VINTAGE:

Circa 1920s-1930s.

SIZE:

Approximately 2" in height and 2-1/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Two loops for cotter pin.

MARKINGS:

None.
