This is a Scarce 1910's - World War I period San Diego County Senior (as denoted by presence of Gold Wash) Special Deputy Sheriff 6 Point Star Badge by CAL. Stamp Co.

Approximately 2-5/8" in height x 2-1/4" in width.

Badge: Nickel plated nickel with light Gold Wash, and painted letter. Pin: Nickel plated Brass.

Vertical one piece safety type pin with open catch.
