ARTIFACT:

This is a distinctive insignia for the Republic of Vietnam Army NCO (non-commissioned officer) Academy. The DI is in the "beer can" style, giving it an ultra-thin profile. The DI is painted in red, blue and white and shows an upright sword against the rays of a sun.

VINTAGE:

Circa Vietnam War.

SIZE:

Approximately 1" in height by 3/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass with painted areas.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.

MARKINGS:

None.

7- (Very Fine-): The DI has some small areas of wear to the paint and small spots of paint on reverse.
