ARTIFACT: This is a rare circa World War II United States Army Air Forces Airborne Troop Carrier "patch-type" distinctive insignia. The insignia was made in the United Kingdom. This style of DI would have been worn by transport pilots on D-Day.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1" in height and 13/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal British kick (Y-style) pin with C catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MGEX13 LAGEX5/13

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The DI has only some light wear and tarnish.
