This is a rare World War II United States Army Airborne shoulder patch Type 10 with black twill backing. The patch is a crest with an eagle's head joined to an AIRBORNE rocker by the twill backing. This patch is the only Type 10 seen in verified WWII 502nd Airborne groupings.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 3-3/8" in height and 2-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/silk thread, black twill backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
MARKINGS:None.
