Description
This is a rare World War II OSS (Office of Strategic Services) Detachment 101 Jingpaw Rangers patch as modified and worn by the Jingpaw. Originally destined for China, the Detachment transferred to Burma to conduct their intelligence operations. "Jingpaw" was a term used to describe the Burmese, or Kachin, counterparts of the operatives.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-3/8" in height and 2-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered in cotton/silk threads, partial muslin backing.
