This is a scarce modified post-1943 Italian Air Force observer wing. The wing is beautifully maker-marked by S. Johnson of Milano. It is very angular in design and has had the fasces removed to demonstrate loyalty to the Crown, or the South.
VINTAGE:Circa post-1943 (World War II).
SIZE:Approximately 15/16" in height and 2-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal plunger-style pin.
MARKINGS:S. JOHNSON CoP. NUOVA 1MILANO.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The wing shows some light wear and minor tarnish.
