Description
This is a rare World War II CNAC (Chinese National Aviation Corporation) pilot collar insignia. The insignia was made in China in brass. CNAC was an airline co-owned equally by Pan Am Airlines and the Chinese government. CNAC ran many missions for the The Chinese Air Force's American Volunteer Group (AKA The Flying Tigers) during the war, and many AVG members became CNAC employees after the AVG disbanded.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 7/16" in height and 1-3/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal British kick (Y style) pin with C catch.
