Description
This is a lovely example of the Eisenstadt made Dallas Type USAS Junior Military Aviator / Pilot wing from WWI. Though a bit more crude than the refined Dallas wing made by Bailey Banks, & Biddle, it is still a beautiful wing, welcome in any WWI aviation collection.
Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 1" in height x 3-11/16" in length.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver, 14 karat gold, woven wool, and brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with drop-in locking catch.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This wing came out of a very old Massachusetts collection, put together by a collector who only scavenged the local shops and flea markets. He is long deceased and this wing was purchased along with others from his son. This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): This wing shows some small spots of light wear and has a beautiful tarnish.
