Description
This is a rare World War I Austro-Hungarian Kuk Air Service (Imperial and Royal) Model 1917 air crew badge. This badge was made circa 1917-1918 by the Austrian maker J. Zimbler. It has a cool "been there", "worn in the cockpit" look. The badge is an eagle wreathed in enameled white leaves. The "K" cipher for Kaiser is at the top and there are two small enameled Imperial and Royal crests at the bottom.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I (1917-1918).
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/4" in height and 2-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, bronze, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Clips.
