ARTIFACT:

This is a rare jacket patch for the United States Army Air Forces 384th Fighter Squadron, 364th Fighter Group, 8th Air Force, a unit that served at the Battle of the Bulge, at the D-Day Invasion, in Holland and on the Rhine. The patch shows a devil with a pitchfork being struck by lightning.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

About 4" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Cotton silk-screened patch with glue backing.
