Description
This is a rare shoulder patch from Bataan for the United States Army Philippine Department worn by the 15th and 31st infantry divisions. The patch is oval and shows a sea lion bearing a sword. The patch is mounted to an index card which has the following typewritten on it: Philippine Dept. Shoulder insignia worn by 31st Inf., 15th Inf. Etc. 31st. Lost on Bataan.
VINTAGE:Circa 1920s-1930s.
SIZE:Patch: 2-3/8" height and 1-15/16" width (mounted on 3" x 5" index card).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Blue and white felt patch embroidered in cotton/silk threads.
