ARTIFACT: Rare sterling WWI Ð 1920's United States Navy Chief Petty Officer (CPO) hat badge by A.E. Co. The hat badge is an anchor and rope with the letter"USN" in the center. The reverse shows a maker's mark that read"STERLING A-E CO."

VINTAGE: Circa WWI-1920's.

SIZE: Approximately 2" x 1- 5/8.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt Sterling.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with "C" type catch.

MARKINGS: STERLING A-E CO.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a USN collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBEX15 LAIEX01/17 SAIEX02/18

CONDITION: 6- (Fine): This hat badge shows moderate wear and tarnishing, though much of the gilt remains intact. The pin is slightly bent, but very functional. It is in fine condition
