Description

ARTIFACT:

These are rare French-made WWI US Army Medical Officer Sanitation Corps Branch of Service insignia. The pins are in the shape of a staff with wings, with two snakes coiling around it from bottom to top. It's a very symmetrical piece with excellent detail in the wings. Each pin has an "S" in the middle to represent the Sanitation Corps.

VINTAGE:

Circa WWI.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-1/8" in height x 1" in width, Each.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Painted Bronze.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pins with open C catches.

ITEM NOTES:

CONDITION:

9 (Excellent-Near Mint): These pins have held up beautifully, however there is some warping on the catches.
