ARTIFACT: This is a rare late 1950s United States Army MAAG (Military Assistance Advisory Group) Vietnam lighter by Wellington. The MAAG was a designation for American military advisors sent to assist in the training of conventional armed forces of Third World countries, such as Vietnam and Cambodia. The front of the lighter has an applied blue enameled insignia.

VINTAGE: Circa late 1950s.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/4" in height and 1-1/2" in width and 1/2" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Chrome-plated brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Hinge.

MARKINGS: WELLINGTON BOX 1064 TOKYO, JAPAN.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a 1950s US Army lighter collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay VBJX14 LBDEX3/14

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The lighter shows some light wear.
