Description
Rare late 1930's Reading Company Railway police badge #'d 5The nicely detailed badge shows a streamlined "Crusader" engine at center with an armored knight whose arm and sword point in the direction the train is heading and seems to be riding atop the engine. A circle around the center embellishments reads: "READING COMPANY RAILWAY POLICE" in embossed lettering with an eagle perched at the top of the badge. The reverse shows a round disc with the numbers "57". There are a number of fakes of this badge in circulation showing muddy details and incorrect numbering, this is an example of an authentic one.
