ARTIFACT: Rare just post AVG Period, early WWII (2nd ½ 1942). Chinese Aero Commission made United States Army Air Forces Blood Chit or Rescue Patch. Transitional size, measuring slightly smaller than AVG size (about 7 5/8" x 10 3/8") but with the Aero Commission Chop at left instead of centered. The original four digit serial # (appears to be 1885?) was stamped out (with the same ink as the May Guo stamp) and a new LOW, 5 digit serial # 06673. Only two characters near serial #, unlike later chits with three characters. Excellent condition, an overall shining example of a rare chit.

VINTAGE: Circa early WWII 2nd ½ of 1942

SIZE: 7 5/8" x 10 3/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silk, ink

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: Serial # 1885? (inked over) and serial #06673 below.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWII Blood Chit collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MABEXL15 LBBIEX3/15 SBJGEX7/16

CONDITION: 9- (Excellent+): Chit shows little to no foxing or folding, Aero Comm. stamp is light as usual, overall excellent condition.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
