Description
Rare just post AVG Period, early WWII (2nd ½ 1942). Chinese Aero Commission made United States Army Air Forces Blood Chit or Rescue Patch. Transitional size, measuring slightly smaller than AVG size (about 7 5/8" x 10 3/8") but with the Aero Commission Chop at left instead of centered. The original four digit serial # (appears to be 1885?) was stamped out (with the same ink as the May Guo stamp) and a new LOW, 5 digit serial # 0667Only two characters near serial #, unlike later chits with three characters. Excellent condition, an overall shining example of a rare chit.
