Description
This is an extremely rare and possibly unique AVG-type Chinese blood chit handmade in leather. The China Air Task Force (CATF) replaced the 1st American Volunteer Group (aka "Flying Tigers") and was the precursor to the 14th Air Force. This chit is possibly from early on in the CATF period, but definitely the 1942 era. It is just wonderfully made, with separate pieces of red and blue making up the flag, with a great cut-out design for the sun.
