ARTIFACT:
This is a rare hardcover copy of the "History and Pictoral Record of the 13th Airborne Division 1943-1946" by William Blythe. The 13th was activated August 13, 1943 and assigned to the First Allied Airborne Army in Europe. The book covers the activities of the 13th during and just after World War II, until its deactivation in February 1946. The groups with dedicated sections in the book are the 153rd Airborne Anti-Aircraft Battalion, the 129th Airborne Engineers, the 326th Glider Infantry Regiment, and the 515th and 517th Parachute Infantry Regiments. The book is full of both action and candid photos and illustrations, some with color. The end of the book has extensive rosters. The cover is textured and embossed with the 13th unicorn insignia. The book was published by Albert Love Enterprises of Atlanta, Georgia.

Circa post-World War II (1946-1947?).
