ARTIFACT: This is a rare early World War II volunteer badge for the New York Region Anti-Aircraft Artillery Corps (AAAC) Aircraft Artillery Corps Intelligence Service (AAAIS). These volunteers operated early radars. The badge is nicely enameled in red and grey.

VINTAGE: Circa early World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: STERLING.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VGEX12 LBDEX12/12

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge shows only a few very small specks of wear and some tarnish on the reverse only.
