ARTIFACT:

This is a rare early World War II volunteer badge for the New York Region Anti-Aircraft Artillery Corps (AAAC) Aircraft Artillery Corps Intelligence Service (AAAIS). These volunteers operated early radars. The badge is nicely enameled in red and grey.

VINTAGE:

Circa early World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 1" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Sterling silver, enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS:

STERLING.
