ARTIFACT: This is a World War I book on United States military drum playing entitled The Military Drummer, by Carl E. Gardner. It was published in 1918 by Carl Fischer of New York and was written as a reference for musicians in both the United States Army and Navy.

VINTAGE: Circa 1918.

SIZE: Approximately 5-7/8" in height and 4-1/4" in width and 7/16" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Printed paper, painted cloth-wrapped covers.

ATTACHMENT: Glued binding.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAX08 LGEX5/11

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The book is in wonderful shape with no rips or stains inside and only light fading of the greenish-blue cover.
