This is a rare circa 1940 shoulder patch for the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Company 2138, of Mill Creek (Hallowell Park), Colorado. The CCC was a work opportunity program created by Roosevelt's New Deal. The patch in black wool embroidered in yellow to show a mountainous forest scene.
VINTAGE:Circa 1940.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/2" in width and 2-3/4" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool embroidered in cotton/silk thread, mesh backing.
