ARTIFACT: This is a rare circa 1940 shoulder patch for the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Company 2138, of Mill Creek (Hallowell Park), Colorado. The CCC was a work opportunity program created by Roosevelt's New Deal. The patch in black wool embroidered in yellow to show a mountainous forest scene.

VINTAGE: Circa 1940.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/2" in width and 2-3/4" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Wool embroidered in cotton/silk thread, mesh backing.



ITEM NOTES: This is from a CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) shoulder patch collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay MAEX13 LAFEX5/14

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The patch has some light wear and a few very tiny holes.
