Rare Circa 1900 Portsmouth, New Hampshire Radiator Style Police Badge

This is a rare circa 1900 police badge from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The badge is in the radiator style and has a leaf and floral border. It reads: "PORTSMOUTH POLICE" and the small shield on the front has "N.H." stamped upon it.

Circa 1900.

Approximately 2-13/16" in height and 2-1/2" in width.

Stamped nickel, plated nickel.

Vertical safety-style pin.

7- (Very Fine-): The badge has only some light to moderate wear. Original enamel in lettering is heavily crazed but present. Pin appears to be an old replacement form the period for wear.
