Description
Rare circa 1964 Dutch ALM (Antilliaanse Luchtvaart Maatschappij) Antillean Airline flight attendant hat badge / stewardess wing. Founded in 1964 is was the main civilian airline company in the Netherlands (or Dutch) Antilles region. ALM Airlines is no longer in existence closing in 2001 perhaps as a result of the dissolution of the Antilles between 2000 and 200This obsolete wing features a round, blue enameled center with six stars and letters "ALM" with wings on either side, the stars are likely representative of the six island territories of the Netherlands Antilles? Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao and Sint Maarten, Saba, and Sint Eustatius.

SIZE:Approximately 2 3/8" in width x 5/8" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Enameled and plated.
ATTACHMENT:Two loops.

CONDITION:6+ (Fine - Very Fine): The wing/badge shows moderate to heavy wear, the enameled center shows hairline fractures next to the letter "A", some of the plating details remain intact.
