Rare Ca. 1955 USAF Academy Security (Police) Forces Badge. Possibly 1st Issue.

Rare circa 1955 United States Air Force Academy Security (Police) Forces Badge. The center features a textured five pointed star and surrounding letters read: "U. S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY" with black painted detail and is in a starburst style reminiscent of Colorado State Enforcement badges. This badge could possibly be the first issue law enforcement badge for the academy.

Nickel plated brass, possibly nickel plated nickel.

Vertical pin with drop in swivel locking catch.

"PAT. 2066969" on pin.
