This is a Rare Circa 1943 US Navy CPO Chief Petty Officer Hat Badge in Wartime Shortages Cast & Plated White Metal Salty! 

World War II, Circa 1943.

Approximately 1-3/4" in height x 1-1/8" in width.

Raised Cast-in Hilborn & Hamburger Maker Mark. Nickeled & Gilt White Metal, Steel Pin.

Vertical pin with come-under locking catch.
