ARTIFACT: Rare circa 1900 early Musician's Labor Union member badge for the Musician's Mutual Benefit Association. The National League of Musicians joined with the Federation of Labor to form the American Federation of Musicians in the early 1900's. The badge shows a spread winged eagle perched on an ornately embellished lyre, above it reads: "ST. LOUIS" and beneath are the letters: "MMBA".

VINTAGE: Circa 1900

SIZE: Approximately 1 ¼" x 1 1/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with stabilizer and disc backing

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Labor Union collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJX12 LBDEX7/15

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine—Excellent): The member badge shows moderate wear, much of the gilt details remain intact.
