ARTIFACT:

This is a Rare circa 1881 Forestville(Now part of Bristol) Connecticut Fire Department Welch Steam Fire Engine & Hose Company No. 1 Badge.


VINTAGE:

Circa 1881.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-1/4" in height x 1-3/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical kick pin with C catch.

CONDITION:

7(Fine - Very Fine): The badge shows moderate wear, and lightly oxidized but still the center of the badge nicely shows Welch Steam Fire Engine, overall very fine condition.
