Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a rare service pin in bronze for the Manhattan Project, the code name for the combined effort of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, along with Britain and Canada, to produce the first atomic bomb. The pin reads A BOMB and shows the Corps Castle at bottom.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 11/16" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Bronze.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS:

W&H CO.
