Description
Rare 1960's United States Navy Gyrodyne QH-50 DASH (Drone Anti-Submarine Helicopter) large Okinawan-made jacket patch. DASH was an integral part of Fleet Rehabilitation and Modernization (FRAM) program implemented in the 1950's to assist in upgrading the US Navy's Fleet in response to the rapid production of submarines by the Soviet Union. Patch depicts a DASH drone with a caricature face wearing a Navy cap soaring above a submarine with the letters DASH along the top.

SIZE:Approximately 5 ¼" in diameter
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered cotton/polyester/silk thread on twill.
