ARTIFACT: This is a fabulous and rare circa 1960s "Peace Helmet" painted in a psychedelic red design. The helmet is fashioned from a World War II US Navy helmet and a US Army liner of the same vintage.

VINTAGE: Circa 1960s (made with WWII gear).

SIZE: Approximately: 6-3/4" in height; head opening: 8" by 9-1/4".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Painted steel, canvas, leather.

ATTACHMENT: Chin strap with buckle.

MARKINGS: 58 painted in liner; unreadable marks on straps.
