This is a rare player's badge from the 1954 USGA (United States Golfers' Association) Open Golf Tournament. Golfer Ed Furgol came out on top in this first-ever nationally televised US Open played at Springfield, New Jersey.
VINTAGE:Circa 1954.
SIZE:Approximately 1-5/16" in height and 1-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Brass, painted areas.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin, saddle.
