Rare 1942 Dated German Wehrmacht & SS Panzer Tank Ammo Cassette NO LONGER AVAILABLE

This is a rare dated 1942 German Wehrmacht or SS Panzer Tank ammunition cassette for the MG34 (Maschinengewehr 34) machine gun, mounted on board armored tanks. The side of the case's metal lid has some great Waffenampt (Army proof marks) and is dated 194It is in woven cotton a metal cover, a leather and a canvas strap, canvas strips at the sides and a leather-reinforced bottom. Some cartridge belt pieces are contained within the case.

Circa 1942.

Approximately 9" in height; cover is about and 4" by 4-1/4".

Woven cotton, canvas, metal lid, leather.

Hinged lid with buckle, hooks on back, strap, rivets.
