Description
This is a circa 1939 or 1940 member badge or fob for the very exclusive Royal Western India Turf Club, a sports club focused on horse racing established in 180This badge has a low number and falls within the "Club" class, the highest club echelon (all members numbers 1,675 and under). The badge is beautifully enameled in green, blue and red and shows a horseshoe topped by an imperial crown. It is numbered on front and on reverse and has an English maker mark.
VINTAGE:Circa 1939-1940.
SIZE:Approximately 1-1/2" in height and 1-1/2" in width; cord is 7" in total length.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Enameled gilt brass, cotton/silk cord.
ATTACHMENT:Cord, suspension loop.
