ARTIFACT: This is a rare 1932 SA Treffen Dusseldorf rally tinnie in tinned steel. The tinnie shows a Schlageter and cross theme with a swastika emblazoned upon a rising sun in the background. Albert Leo Schlageter was a national hero during the Thrid Reich who was awarded both the Iron Cross First and Second Class during World War I. After the war, he became involved with the Nazi Party and led acts of sabotage against the French and Belgium occupiers of the Ruhr. Schlageter was executed on May 26, 1923 by the French.

VINTAGE: Circa 1932.

SIZE: Approximately 1-9/16" in height and 1-1/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Tinned steel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an early Nazi Germany tinnie collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MBEL14 LAFJX3/14 SAFJX5/14

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The tinnie shows some light to moderate wear.
