Description
This is a rare circa 1930s lapel pin for the United States Navy's SB2U Vought Vindicator. This pin is the only one I've seen of its kind. The vindicator was a dive-bomber utilized in conjunction with aircraft carriers, namely the USS Lexington, USS Saratoga, USS Ranger and the USS Wasp. By 1943 most of the Vindicators had been relegated to training usage. This pin has a great luster and is heavily enameled.
