Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a rare 1930s Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) 239th Company ring in enameled sterling silver. The CCC was a work opportunity program created by Roosevelt's New Deal. The handsome ring has the original owner's initials engraved upon the front (JHR) beneath an enameled crest and has a maker mark inside the band.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s.

SIZE:

Approximate size 12 about 11/16" in height.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Sterling silver, enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

MARKINGS:

239 JHR engraved on front; STERLING C.K. GROUSE inside band.
