ARTIFACT: This is a rare 1930s US Army Air Corps Flight School sweetheart pin. The pin consists of a crest reading UT VIRI VOLENT (So the Strong May Fly) and a miniature wing connected by a chain.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: Largest pin has a 1/2" height and entire pin with chain stretched taut has a 2-3/4" length.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass with blue and black enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Both pins with have drop-in locking swivel catch (one vertical and one horizontal).

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VD/E99 LEEX 6/10

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): Wing shows light tarnish only.
