ARTIFACT: This is a Rare 1893 Columbian Exhibition Columbia Guard Badge # 540.

The World's Columbian Exposition (also known as the Chicago World's Fair) 1893 was a world's fair held in Chicago in 1893 to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus's arrival in the New World in 1492.

VINTAGE: 1893.

SIZE: Approximately 3" in height x 2-5/8" in width x 7/8" in depth.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt Brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: 540

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEJX23 LEGEX04/08/23

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The badge shows minor to moderate wear especially on front , and gilt detail remains intact on back, overall, it is in very fine condition.
