Rare 1870s US Military Academy (USMA) West Point Cadet Hat Badge

This is a rare 1870s United States Military Academy at West Point cadet hat badge. The badge shows an eagle flying with a sword and a banner which reads USMA.

Circa 1870s.

2" height and 2-1/4" width.

Plated brass.

Loop attachment (one is missing).

None.
