Pre-WWI US Army Hat Badge by Tiffany & Co. in Gilt Bronze

This is a pre-WWI United States Army officer hat badge by Tiffany & Co. in gilt bronze. The badge shows an eagle bearing a striped crest with 13 stars at top. This style of badge was worn through the 1930s but the construction of this one suggests an early date of pre-World War I.

Circa early 1910s.

2-1/16" height and 1-7/8" width.

Gilt bronze.

Single screw post with backing and two small bent pins for stabilization.

TIFFANY & CO. BRONZE with maker's mark.
