This is a pre-standardization (ca. 1935-37) Texas Ranger circle-star badge, which reads DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY TEXAS RANGER.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930.
SIZE:About 2-1/4" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Die-stamped nickel with brass pin.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with a "C" catch.
MARKINGS:None.
