ARTIFACT: This is a scarce circa pre-1933 Nazi NSDAP (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpart) Jugend belt buckle. Originally created in 1922, the "Jugendbund der NSDAP" (Youth League of the NSDAP) took direction from the SA (Sturmabteilung). Over the next three years the group was renamed twice more. During this time of reorganization, the member uniform was varied, but included an HJ (Hitlerjugend) armband. In 1925 the members emulated the NSDAP "Brownshirts" by unilaterally donning the same. This belt buckle was in use prior to the introduction in 1933 of the signature buckle design the group finally adopted.

VINTAGE: Circa pre-1933.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/16" in width and 1-1/2" in height and 5/8" in depth.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Brass.

ATTACHMENT: Swiveling bar with two prongs.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Nazi Germany collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. KEZAR CON-DB-25-12 LADEX12/12 SAJJX1/14

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The buckle has areas of light to medium wear and tarnish with some areas of oxidation, mostly on reverse.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
